I have been gigging since 1969 (gosh), starting as a drummer and then a guitarist before moving to the bass in about 1980.

I have played with a number of bands several of which will soon be posted on the 'GALLERY' page (should be good for a laugh).

Over the years I have played in bands that have supported many of the sixties stars including Bo Diddley, The Bachelors, Helen Shapiro, Freddie and the Dreamers and Brian Poole, as well as others such as Wilko Johson and Black Lace.

I ran the SUNDAYBLUES blues sessions at The Red Lion in Thorpe, Norwich for a number of years, where I made many friends and contacts before starting my own 11 piece band THE STEVE JINKS SOUL BAND. This band was followed by HI-JINX and I then joined THE KENO KINGS in 2005.

I have also played with many local bands including RUBY JOE, SMART ALEX, HAPPY AS LARRY, VANDEN PLAS, THE DAVE THOMAS BAND, THE PART TIME BLUES BAND, THE BOOGALOOS and ALBERT COOPERS BLUES AND BOOGIE BAND.

I  retired from live gigs earlier this year having been diagnosed with a genetic muscle wasting condition called KENNEDY'S DISEASE in 2000, and now concentrate most of my time on recording.

I do, however, still occasionally do the odd gig which I will keep updated on the home page.
